The family of Cora Clancy continues to remember the young girl whose life was tragically cut short in a case that has deeply affected the Massachusetts community and drawn national attention.
Cora Clancy, 5, was among three children who died in January 2023 in Duxbury, Massachusetts, in a tragedy involving her mother, former labor and delivery nurse Lindsay Clancy. Cora, along with her siblings Dawson, 3, and baby Callan, 8 months old, were found deceased inside the family’s home.
Jury selection has now begun in the trial of Lindsay Clancy, who is facing charges related to the deaths of her three children. Prosecutors allege that she intentionally killed the children after sending her husband, Patrick Clancy, out of the home to pick up food and a prescription.
According to authorities, Lindsay Clancy later attempted to take her own life by jumping from a second-story window, leaving her permanently paralyzed. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The defense has argued that Lindsay Clancy was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis and was affected by medication and mental health complications at the time of the incident.
