Israel DelToro Obituary, Death - ADK Fitness Owner, Military Veteran, and Coach Dies After Glens Falls Accident
The communities of Lake George, Queensbury, and Glens Falls, New York, are mourning the tragic loss of Israel Del Toro, a respected military veteran, fitness coach, entrepreneur, and devoted father, who passed away on Monday, July 20, 2026, from injuries sustained in a tragic accident in Glens Falls.

Known for his infectious smile, unwavering positivity, and dedication to helping others achieve their goals, Israel’s unexpected passing has left family, friends, gym members, and fellow veterans heartbroken.

Israel Del Toro was the owner and head coach of ADK Fitness and ADK CrossFit in downtown Glens Falls. Through his leadership, he built more than a successful fitness business—he created a welcoming community where people of all ages and fitness levels felt encouraged, supported, and inspired.

His passion for fitness began during his military service, where he discovered functional training while deployed overseas. Motivated by the discipline and teamwork he experienced, Israel pursued certifications with USA Powerlifting, USA Olympic Weightlifting, and CrossFit after returning home.

He later transformed that passion into a lifelong mission of serving others through fitness. After managing Flex Appeal in Lake George, Israel founded ADK CrossFit in 2012, growing it into one of the Adirondack region’s premier functional fitness facilities. He later expanded his vision by opening ADK Fitness at 80 Glen Street in downtown Glens Falls, offering a modern, 24-hour training facility for the local community.

Beyond his work in the gym, Israel was deeply committed to developing young athletes. He served as the strength and conditioning coach for the Glens Falls High School football and basketball programs, as well as the Adirondack Rivermen hockey team, mentoring countless athletes both on and off the field.

Friends and members describe Israel as someone who made everyone feel welcome. Whether coaching experienced competitors or newcomers beginning their fitness journey, he approached every person with encouragement, respect, and genuine care. His leadership extended far beyond physical training, as he continually inspired others to become stronger in every aspect of life.

Following news of his passing, tributes have poured in from clients, fellow coaches, veterans, and longtime friends who remember Israel as a devoted father, loyal friend, compassionate mentor, and inspiring leader whose positive influence reached far beyond the walls of his gym.

Israel is survived by his beloved sons, his parents, extended family, and the countless friends, athletes, and community members whose lives he touched through his service, mentorship, and friendship.

Military funeral honors will be held on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Gerald B. H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville, New York. Following the service, family, friends, gym members, and the community are invited to gather for a memorial reception at ADK Fitness in downtown Glens Falls to celebrate his life and share memories.

Israel Del Toro leaves behind a lasting legacy of service, leadership, perseverance, and compassion. His impact will continue to be felt through the lives he transformed, the athletes he mentored, the fitness community he built, and the family and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
